Of 1590 from Asia. An early flowering, strong scented rose, with flowers that are bright yellow on the outside and internally-Orange brassy discolour. The overhanging branches are densely occupied with the many single flowers. The branches are chestnut brown in colour. Suitable for solitary planting on poor soil. This rose does not need to be pruned but has to undergo every few years in March a slight pruning in order to make new branches.
